- When first elected I was able to keep open the respite provision for local people caring for mentally disabled family members at Meadowcroft Heronwood.
- I have been able to help the Governing Body at Connaught School by placing three new members on the Board, as of March 2009 a new Head Teacher was appointed by the Governing Body.
- Responsible for Urban landscaping at the mini shopping Centre In North Town.(Increased the number of car parking spaces)
- Chrismas Lodge the agreement of the HCC to hand over the footpath and other land used by Brickfields to RBC.
- Played a leading role to protect the resource provision for Deaf and Hearing impaired children in Cove school Farnborough (only 4 in County)
- Protected bus Route 56 from complete withdrawal, cut the midday service which allowed the bus subsidy to continue. This is the only service between Aldershot and Farnborough Sixth Form College which passes through Heronwood and costs Hampshire taxpayers £24,252 per annum in subsidy to Stagecoach.
- Persuaded the County to adopt a policy on Gating Orders.
- Castle Day Nursery Connaught School, had to intervene to prevent closure.
- Achieved various road improvements in Aldershot particular the mini R/A in Lower Farnham Road.
- Persuaded the County to adopt the upgrading of Holybush Lane North Town to be included in the infrastructure of the Aldershot Urban Extension.
- Stopped the implementation of further road humps basically in my Division and to the rest of Aldershot. Long term aim to remove as many as possible.
- Played a leading part in improving the allowance paid to County Foster carers.
- Was able to persuade the County under the green travel plan for the Aldershot Health Centre to provide an extra 30 car parking places. Not much but what can you do when Government Legislation gets in the way of implementing a proper local travel plan which 'does not fight the car'.
- Library redecorated and the fitting of lift to allow access to top floor for the Military Collection of over 20,000 books.
- Protected the West End Centre and seen it improved by the investment of another £120,000+ in infrastructure.
- Persuaded HCC to consider the provision of a Discovery Centre in Aldershot.
- Over the last two years I have worked on the Aldershot Steering Group with Cllr Roger Kimber, with officers from both HCC and RBC for the regeneration of Aldershot. First part of that programme to be implemented in October 2009.
- Have provided extra car parking spaces throughout Aldershot East for residents, example Wilow Way Heronwood 20+.
- Along with Cllr Roger Kimber, we have personally approved grants to various organizations totaling £40,000.
- Main achievement working as a team myself and Cllr Roger Kimber are particular proud of the fact that Winchester no longer considers Aldershot to be some forgotten backwater.
